FileMaker Celebrates 30 and enters a new chapter.
FileMaker Pro is no longer that scrappy, teenage, desktop database for Mac users.
it’s now a fully-mature, 30-year-old platform of powerful products that run on a myriad of devices.
FileMaker recently celebrated it’s 30 year anniversary at its 20th annual FileMaker Developer Conference. Over 1,500 international developers, clients and users descended onto the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas to discover and share the latest technical, design and business practices in the industry. Dozens of targeted presentations, one-on-one sessions with FileMaker engineers and sneak peeks of future offerings were all part of the action. The downtime included visiting dozens of exhibitor booths, several network events and long conversations with colleagues over drinks on technical and market trends. Of course casinos and shows also beckoned, after hours.

Here’s just a bit of the action from the conference:
Of course Angel City Data helped bring some shine to the event. The opening Keynote presentation featured a video timeline of early FileMaker versions, mixed with screens of modern solutions. Angel City Data had 3 of our solutions featured in this montage. Later in the conference, ACD president David Knight gave his 20th developer conference presentation, this time featuring the topic of “Super-Sized Selling” – how to market and sell FileMaker solutions. It was greeted with positive feedback.
And finally, as FileMaker Celebrates 30, they unveiled a new 30th anniversary web page, featuring 30 amazing solutions that help to transform dynamic businesses. We were terribly proud that the Angel City team supplied 4 of the 30 solutions featured. See if you can tell which are ours. We’ll give you a hint. They. Look. AWESOME.
At Angel City Data, we’re very proud of our relationship with FileMaker Inc. and we look forward to using this amazing platform to build only one thing:
